| Hello, Here is Your ESCC Healthy Skin News Update | ||
Dysport Day at ESCC - Wednesday, September 23. Try Dysport at the introductory low price of $104 for one area*! What is Dysport? Dysport is a simple, effective, non-surgical treatment that works by relaxing facial muscles on the forehead, thereby reducing and smoothing away frown lines and wrinkles. How is Dysport administered? Tiny amounts of Dysport are injected directly in the facial muscles underlying the frown lines. It usually takes three to five small, almost painless injections for effective treatment of one area. The treatment takes less than 15 minutes. Over the next few days after the treatment, the muscles gradually relax. Because you will still be able to blink normally and raise your eyebrows you will not look unnatural. You will have a natural expression with a more youthful appearance. What areas are typically treated with Dysport? The most common areas are the glabellar (lines between the eyebrows), the smile lines at the sides of each eye (sometimes referred to as “crows feet”), and the lines across the forehead. Dysport can also be used to treat a condition called hyperhidrosis, which is excessive underarm sweating.
How long do the results of Dysport last? While studies have shown the product typically lasts about four months, some patients have noticed the effects lasting longer. Also, when treatments are regularly administered, most patients notice increased longevity due to decreased muscle strength in the area. Also, with regular treatments, less product can sometimes be used to achieve the same result. Are there any side effects? The side effects from Dysport are minimal. Some patients have reported temporary soreness or mild bruising around the injection site. Some people may experience a slight headache that can be relieved with Tylenol or ibuprofen. How much does the treatment cost? The cost of a Dysport treatment varies by individual, depending on how many areas are being treated, the size of the area the patient wants treated, and the severity of the frown lines. The cost can usually range from $200 to $400. At ESCC we will always give you the exact amount your treatment will cost before administering the product. We can work with you and your budget to help make it an affordable option for most all of our patients. How and when can I can try Dysport? If you have tried Botox in the past, or if you always wanted to get rid of your frown lines, now is the time to try Dysport!
